Anybody here watch this show.?. I'm in the midst of Season 4 and even though I thought there could be a dropoff in quality because of all the new characters having to be introduced it's still as good as ever. Cool. Riggins is hilarious

Last episode was just Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad. Just fantastic overall. Probably the best episode of Season 4 so far.

So Friday Night Lights are filming their Season 5 finale next Friday and Saturday at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, and guess who's going to be an extra? ME!
Not sure what I have to do yet, or if I'll even get on camera, but I presume they just need people to fill the seats in the stadium and cheer, etc.
Also don't know if there'll be any interaction with the cast members (I'm not going to get my hopes up), but it'll be interesting to watch them film it anyway.

I'm excited! It's one of my favourite shows on TV and I've watched it since Season 1. I'll post an update on here after it happens.

Oh, and Kyle Chandler (Coach Eric Taylor) and Connie Britton (Tami Taylor) both received their first Emmy nominations lastnight.

Haha! I would've done that if I was able to! We were under instructions to bring both red (East Dillon Lions) and burnt orange (opposing team - Hudgins Hawks) coloured clothes.

It was really good fun, although the filming didn't stop until almost 4:00am on Friday night and 2:00am on Saturday, and it was hot as hell. On Saturday they had the actors sitting in the stands, so Julie Taylor, Tami Taylor and Matt Saracen were all about 7 rows directly in front of me, and Mindy Riggins and Becky Sproles were two rows in front of me, although they all left as soon as their scenes were finished, and we had to stay on.

Here's a couple of photos.

Vince Howard (Michael B. Jordan) and Luke McCafferty (Matt Lauria)

Mindy Riggins (Stacey Oristano) and Becky Sproles (Madison Burge)

Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford), Julie Taylor (Aimee Teegarden) and Tami Taylor (Connie Britton)

I would tell you who won...... but they didn't even tell us. I know what the last play is (for the fourth time in five seasons, it comes down to the last play!), but I don't know who wins because they filmed it with the offense scoring, and then with the defense stopping them. They just told us to react to what we saw as if it were a real football game, and said "Y'all will never know who wins!".
Even if they did tell us, I'm not sure that I would tell you what happened because we had to sign a secrecy waiver, and the fine is a potential $50,000 dollars if we break it!

There were more extras there the first day. A lot of people didn't come back for the second day because it was so long and the weather was uncomfortably hot. There were a few thousand extras there, maybe 5,000-7,000, and they had us move around from one sideline to behind the endzone, to the other sideline, so it will look full-ish on tv. Well, the bottom tier will, which is typical of a state championship game - they typically don't get 96,000 people for them!

I swear to God Pa! You don't want to cross a Donegal man or you'll regret it!

No, that part should be ok - sure it was advertised in all the Dallas papers that they needed extras at the Cotton Bowl, and a load of the guys who were playing the football players have already put photos up on their Twitter pages, so I should be good..... if you keep your mouth shut Pa!
